About the author: Gauri Jayaram is mother of two girls, amateur athlete, part-time writer, management school drop-out, traveller, entrepreneur, in full-time employment with the world’s largest escorted touring company and woman behind The Active Holiday Company, she is a little bit of many things and still not satisfied! She frequently combines her love for long distance running with rock music.

Blurb:  Wise Enough to be Foolish is a fictionalized memoir that traces the journey of an Indian girl’s life, with all its challenges and delightful surprises, as she blossoms from an insecure child into a confident young woman. This roller-coaster ride of adventure, laughter and heartache, as she balances her love life with her struggle for independence, will keep you guessing what rules will she break next? How far will she go to find herself?

Review: I liked this book, it was honest and entertaining. It was an interesting fictionalized memoir. The book was really worth reading. It has been quiet sometime since I have read a book within so little time. There are very few good books these days. Gauri, the lead and the author of this story, is a radical by birth. Always considered wrong person in the conserved, army family. She never got the amount of love she deserved from her parents due to her radical attitude. That makes her tomboyish. In easy words, she was so improbable of a girl. The latter part of the story deals with her adventures, flings, loves and her marriages. A must read.

 Verdict: 3/5
