Blurb: In these ten tales of suspense, the lines between fact and reality blur, challenging one’s notions of everyday life. Eerie, poignant, and at times inspiring, this collection of never-before-seen stories will transport you to a world where the supernatural abounds alongside the banal, and nothing is what it seems.
About the author: Andy Echevarria, has been featured with The Horror Zine, SNM, and Aphelion, among other publications and e-zines, and in various anthologies. His main is ininterest as a writer is in the horror and thriller genre, though he is a huge fan of humor, and some of the stories often have comedic elements. He enjoys old-time radio plays, nature, as well as exploring the nooks and crannies of the many diverse neighborhoods of his native—born and raised—New York City.
Review: A collection of suspenseful tales – a woman gets a taxi home and meets a strange driver who gives her the creeps. A boy wants a crystal ball, but is there more to it than meets the eye. The stories have definite potential, with some good ideas. Occasionally though, it felt like the plot was being forced slightly to suit the story. Because they are short stories, I know that it can be difficult to include all the information that you want in them and keep the story a certain length. All of the short stories had a paranormal or slightly creepy theme and I enjoyed most of them. There were a couple that I didn’t really get but I’m sure there would be something for everyone in this collection. There were a few inconsistencies in the stories, but despite these inconsistencies, I enjoyed the collection.
