About the book – “Dare to Defy the Destiny” is an eye-opening and thought provoking sail through the lives of 26 beautiful individuals all like you and me. Swept by the tide of time and its vicious circumstances, they either dared to defy the destiny or perished under the burden of their unfulfilled dreams. It is my maiden endeavour to weave together my much appreciated series of True Tales. This book illustrates True Poignant Rumblings of Indian masses, some heart wrenching while some undoubtedly motivating, with the aim to inspire each one of us to be the ‘Face of Change’ and put an end to all that our conscience fails to accept.
Review: Women are truth tellers who are mothers, survivors, leaders, scholars, sisters, friends, daughters. They share stories of incredible triumph and devastating loss, and every experience in between. Through sharing, writing and reading about such women, we all find common ground, inspiration, hope, meaning, and action. Women are known as the weaker sex but that’s far from the truth. They are very strong, if not physically, at least emotionally and mentally stronger than men. There are a number of women who have stood up for themselves, made a place for themselves and in the e-book titled ‘“Dare to Defy the Destiny” written by Roma Gupta Sinha. Her book talks about 26 amazing personalities who are just like you and me, who have been swept by the tide of time and its vicious circumstances, they either dared to defy the destiny or perished under the burden of their unfulfilled dreams. These 26 stories are a world within where you can become fully immersed in, no matter how quick of a read it is. They were incredible, breath-taking, and left me utterly stunned. Author’s command over language, structure, and writing impressed me very much. The key theme in this book is making dreams come out and reaching the destiny, and these stories embody that in a fluid, wonderful way. Each story is so intoxicating and vivid; it’s hard to put the book down. Congratulations for such a wonderful e-book. Wishing you luck and please write more books.
I write a lot, which keeps me off the streets and out of trouble. There is always something to write about, always a new story to craft. Not writing, for me, is like trying to hold back a sneeze. Learning to write was the most powerful influence in my life. I can still remember the awe I felt when I realized I could put real words onto paper and tell out a story. From that first ‘a-ha’ moment I knew I wanted to write.
