About the book – Why this book? Well, Why not? This book is a collection of verses written over the past one year – it is a reminiscence of a city I lived in and the fond memories that I carry wherever I go; an autograph of the city I know and the binoculars into the future that these verses will take me. This book is a collection of the poems that have been read in poetry groups. Blame the group members if you find these ramblings nonsensical. Written in my journal, the poems are sign posts along the journey called ‘everyday’. This is an attempt to recapture the thoughts over a period of the years I lived away from home yet moved closer to it
Review: I love poetry, I can read them given any day because you can express what you feel, and the tone and rhythm add up to your expression. Through poetry you can things in your perspective and you feel what the poem is trying to let you feel through the words and suddenly you can relate with it; it is like a friend, who understands what you need to understand – this is perhaps what makes poetry so magical and such magic is in the e-book titled ‘Aerogramme and other Poems’ written by Nivedita who is a fellow Hyderabadi. The e-book is based on her experiences of her life; social, emotional, physical ones, even other things which she beautiful weaved in 18 amazing poems. Through her poems, she unleashes the unconscious connections that exist within her mind. It is difficult to pick out the best one, every poem was special in its own way and I liked all of them. Wishing you good luck to write more poems and shine as a poetess.
I write a lot, which keeps me off the streets and out of trouble. There is always something to write about, always a new story to craft. Not writing, for me, is like trying to hold back a sneeze. Learning to write was the most powerful influence in my life. I can still remember the awe I felt when I realized I could put real words onto paper and tell out a story. From that first ‘a-ha’ moment I knew I wanted to write.
