With the start of this month May, I am starting a new, weekly series, on my blog. In it I am featuring 20 bloggers for 20 Sundays starting from May till September 2017.
The Blogger to be featured today is Dixita
Can you tell me a little about yourself and your blog – mentioning something known and unknown to the readers?
I am Dixita, from Rajasthan. I am a full time blogger working from home. I have completed Masters In Commerce. Social media Influencing is my current favorite topic of interest. I love reading books and travelling. One thing many people do not know about me is that I wasn’t into reading or writing from childhood. It came to me after completion of my graduation when I had nothing to do . At present I am so much clinged to my personal blog Hill Station Reader that other things don’t matter to me. Blogging is my passion now.
Tell me about some of the people you’ve met while working on your blog or through blogging communities?
– I haven’t met anyone personally yet from my blogging community but I have a lot of blogging friends. My parents still believe that I am too little to go alone and meet unknown people on my own and also the place where I stay is actually far from city areas where blogging events and meet ups usually occur so it stops me.
What do you do when you aren’t working on your blog? You can tell me about your usual day routine.
When I am not blogging I am either reading books, travelling or busy in any family activity. My day starts with myself into balcony towards plants and inspecting the new leaves and flower buds, then greeting parents, 30 minutes of yoga, getting ready for the day with a healthy Breakfast, social media and arranging the To-do-Today working list as per the assigned work. I keep on reminding myself to take more and more water throughout the day, usually skip my lunch and pick a good book if I have any spare time. I water my plants during evening, visit my grandparents for an hour. Night time is usually family time, dinner with everyone, and a good night sleep. Journalising the happenings of the day.
Everyone has a favourite/least favourite post. Tell me about your best and worst post and why?
I remember When I was a kid, I was happy when relatives gave me 10 rupee instead of 100 rupee note so that I could spent it on buying candies but along with growing up we all become selfish and so is with me .. my favorite post is one with most views and worst is one with least views. My favourite blog post is –https://www.hillstationreader.com/love-story-of-miss-firefly-and-mr-firefly-the-fictional-character-myfriendalexa/ and not favorite post ( can’t say worst because I have invested my time and words into it ) is- https://www.hillstationreader.com/banjara-a-rajasthan-i-tribe/
Name some of the bloggers – at least 3 of your favourites, whom you look up to and why?
Neil Patel for his awesome tips which helps me in building my blog from basic and Anindya’s Food for the lovely stories cooked and photographies served there.
Tell me about your proudest achievement(s)? (Related to Blogging)
I love it whenever I see my posts on first page of google search.
If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest?
Start with the basic, Don’t copy anyone, create your own thoughts into reality. Blog regularly.
I am sure you know me as a blogger or your friend on social media or may be even as a person in real so how would you rate my writings and tell me your honest opinion on me – this would serve as a testimonial.

I write a lot, which keeps me off the streets and out of trouble. There is always something to write about, always a new story to craft. Not writing, for me, is like trying to hold back a sneeze. Learning to write was the most powerful influence in my life. I can still remember the awe I felt when I realized I could put real words onto paper and tell out a story. From that first ‘a-ha’ moment I knew I wanted to write.
